One thing I am wondering about is why bother replacing the AK-74M with a rifle barely more capable? What I am saying is, the M4 is still useful for the US army, thus there is no plans to replace it. Canada just introduced the C8 (M4 variant) and it works to what we need. The AK-74M and its variants (101, 103, etc) are more than good enough and are used in various countries (Cyprus is one of them). I think it is much more important to start replacing things like common gear (Helmets, Kevlar Vests, Comm systems) than it is to replace the gun itself. Heck, start obtaining Radnik as common.
